BTM developed HecoCost, a web-based platform for creating and exploring healthcare budget impact models, sensitivity analysis and visual results.
The challenge
HecoAnalytics was developing a suite of digital tools to support MedTech companies throughout their health economics journey. As part of this platform, they needed a dedicated web application for budget impact modelling that could bring together unit and fixed costs, modelling assumptions and scenario analysis, while presenting complex results in a clear and accessible way.
The solution
BTM designed and developed HECOCOST as a web-based budget impact modelling platform. The application brings together authentication, input-data management, budget impact analysis and interactive dashboards within a single environment. Users can manage model data and snapshots, perform analyses and explore results through sensitivity analysis, treemaps and other dashboard visualisations. The platform was developed iteratively with HecoAnalytics, with requirements reviewed at the end of each development sprint.
The outcome
HECOCOST provided HecoAnalytics with a dedicated digital platform for building and presenting budget impact models. The project moved key modelling activities into a reusable web application, bringing data management, analysis and visualisation together in one environment. BTM also delivered the application code, user manual and software documentation to support continued use and development of the platform.
