HecoAnalytics HecoCalc, A Health Economics Simulation Platform
BTM developed HecoCalc, an online health economics platform for cost-effectiveness and cost-utility modelling, with interactive dashboards, simulation and sensitivity analysis.
The challenge
HecoAnalytics needed a web-based platform that could support health economic modelling across different stages of analysis, from early development through to later trial presentation. The system needed to bring together model configuration, input data, simulation and reporting within a single application, while supporting different user roles including analysts, clients, managers and system administrators.
The solution
BTM designed and developed a web application built around three core areas: a dashboard for reviewing deterministic and probabilistic results, a decision-tree modelling interface, and an input-data interface for managing costs and model parameters. The platform supports simulation runs, snapshot creation and approval, PDF export, and visual outputs including scatter plots, cost-effectiveness analysis and tornado plots for sensitivity analysis.
The outcome
HecoCalc provided HecoAnalytics with a reusable digital platform for running and presenting health economic models. It brought modelling, data management, simulation and visualisation into one web-based environment, making it easier to configure analyses, review results and present cost-effectiveness evidence in a consistent way. HecoCalc is used by a large number of HecoAnalytics customers.
